Shop My Dining Room Finds

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home and our kitchen and dining room space certainly does not fall short of that! Our first floor has an open concept that allows everyone to congregate to center of our kitchen and dining area. There is no doubt that my house has every hue of blue you can find so incorporating blue in our space was essential. If you are in love with a grandmillenial & coastal feel, look no further! I wanted to make sure each room flowed on theme and in color because of our open concept. Throughout our house there are hues of blues, white, silver and some textures of pine or rattan. I’ve found repetition of a chosen theme helps bring a space together.

Not only was I able to stay on theme but a majority of my items came from Amazon. Yes, you heard me correct, Amazon! I am a major Amazon enthusiast and you’ll find many of my home décor can be found there. I’ve found many of their light fixtures and furniture pieces to be of the same quality you can find in HomeGoods or TJ Maxx. One thing you’ll also learn about me is that I also take pride in a look for less. Items like a $300 coffee table and $2 plates make my heart sing!

  1. These bohemian chandeliers are perfect for a kitchen space, bedroom or hallway. I purchased 2 of these lights flow with our hallway that is connected to our kitchen and dining area. The brown textured tassel finds its way blending with our dining room space. A perfect choice for elevating a space under $100!
  2. Our cross-back chairs still excite me to this day! I found mine on Amazon. Unfortunately, they are currently unavailable but I was able to find a similar option on Amazon. These chairs were definitely a steal as this $900 Pottery Barn Farmhouse look came in at $150 for a set of 2.
  3. This wooden chandelier underneath our kitchen is absolutely the star of the show in our dining space. When we purchased this chandelier, we felt as though we were taking a risk. We were still new to buying Amazon’s home décor and did not know what to expect. After this purchase, I search Amazon first for any of my light-fixture needs.
  4. Our linen flaxed curtains were inspired from our plate wall. The plate wall is a total grandmillenial vibe that my Mom convinced me to do (I’m so glad she did). I knew I did not want a plane curtain for this space and using patterns from our plates was a perfect touch.
  5. I looked high and low for a dining room table. So many of the tables I found were priced easily at $1,000. At the time (and still now) I did not want to spend that much. I was able to find this piece at At Home for $350. Unfortunately, this item is no longer sold At Home. However, I found a very similar piece with a distressed finish on Wayfair’s website.
  6. Finally, an image that is not pictured is our plate wall. This solid blue accent wall brings in the colors from our family room. I found our plates at Pier 1 Imports. At the time, these items were on sale for an average price of $2 each! My husband Joe installed this piece for me. You’ll find many of the items in the house Joe has hung. One of these days I’ll provide a how-to session from Joe. In the meantime, you can get wall plate hangers at your local craft store such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Amazon.

No matter how you decide to decorate your space, remember to stick to your chosen key elements. I promise it’ll bring your other spaces together.
